KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received for KC001691, CENTRAL BASE, ATLANTIC BASE & NON-REVENUE BUILDING - UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK (UST) IMPROVEMENTS AND ABOVEGROUND STORAGE TANKS (AST) INSTALLATION; by the King County Procurement and Payables Section, via the E-Procurement system, until 1:30pm on 9/9/2026. Late bids will not be accepted. The public bid opening will be conducted on-line following the Bid Close Date and Time; see Invitation to Bid, Section 00 10 00 for details. Work under this contract includes installation of aboveground storage tanks (ASTs); cleaning, inspection, repair and lining of existing fuel underground storage tanks (USTs), including upgrade of associated fluid level monitoring/leak detection system; permanent closure-in-place of existing non-fuel USTs; installation of supplementary sacrificial anodes for the cathodic protection of existing steel underground storage tanks; and concrete removal, excavation and concrete repair for installation of supplementary cathodic protection for steel USTs and other UST appurtenance upgrades. Estimated contract price: $833,000 There is a 10% minimum Apprentice Utilization Requirement on this contract. There is a 10% minimum requirement for King County Certified Small Contractors and Suppliers (SCS) on this contract. Description
King County Metro Transit is soliciting construction bids for improvements to underground storage tanks (USTs) and installation of aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) at its Central Base, Atlantic Base, and non-revenue facilities. The work includes cleaning, inspection, repair, and lining of existing fuel USTs; permanent closure of unused non-fuel USTs; installation of supplementary sacrificial anodes for cathodic protection; replacement of tank-level monitoring and leak-detection systems; and installation of two ASTs with footings, bracing, pumps, distribution piping, sensors, and accessories. Additional work includes pavement removal and replacement, excavation, trenching, backfill, spill-bucket replacement, Washington Department of Ecology site assessments involving pavement coring or boring, soil and groundwater sampling and reporting, contaminated-soil hauling and disposal, trench-excavation safety systems, and an apprentice incentive allowance. Addendum 1 replaces the Measurement and Payment section and requires bidders to acknowledge all addenda in the E-Procurement system before a bid can be accepted.
