Description
The City of Redmond is soliciting qualifications from consulting firms to design approximately 20 new ADA-compliant curb ramps and driveway approaches, including removal and replacement of noncompliant existing elements and associated asphalt pavement. The selected consultant will perform planning-level analyses, identify improvement locations, prepare a design report and rough-order-of-magnitude estimate, conduct survey and mapping, develop 30%, 60%, 90%, and bid-ready plans, specifications, and cost estimates, obtain necessary permits, and support advertising and bidding. Related services include project administration, real-property and easement support, arborist services, tree protection and relocation coordination, public outreach, and optional construction-phase design support. The estimated design and construction cost is $1,200,000, and the project has $1,500,000 in Community Facility District funding. Participation by disadvantaged and small business enterprises is encouraged, with a voluntary SBE goal of 10% and a required SBE Participation Plan.
