Description
Sammamish Plateau Water is soliciting a contractor to construct emergency and operational storage improvements at the Freegard Lift Station. The work includes replacing the existing wet well with a 12-foot precast polymer concrete wet well, installing a second 12-foot emergency storage wet well and a 48-inch composite manhole, and constructing connecting 36-inch, 15-inch, 12-inch, 8-inch, and smaller sewer, force-main, drain, and bypass piping. The project also includes temporary bypass pumping, excavation and shoring with ground freezing, dewatering management, pipe bedding and backfill, and demolition of existing facilities. The contractor must furnish and install a Godwin 180M diesel-powered emergency pump with enclosure, valves, suction and discharge piping, electrical and instrumentation work, fencing, traffic control, erosion control, asphalt, landscaping, and site restoration. The engineering estimate is approximately $1.5 million excluding tax. The project requires a 15 percent apprentice utilization rate, a bid security equal to 5 percent of the bid, and completion within 210 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
