Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service requires preventive maintenance services for a Caterpillar Model AA main switchgear, Serial No. 32269, at the United States National Poultry Research Center. The contractor must furnish all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, and related services; perform circuit-breaker testing, bus-system and cabinet maintenance, an infrared scan under load, HMI functional testing, and correction of programming issues causing false alarm indications. The contractor must be factory-authorized and provide documentation certifying its ability to work on the existing switchgear. Deliverables include service and test reports, an infrared report with photographs, updated manuals and as-built documentation when applicable, and warranty information. Work will occur in an occupied, operational research facility and requires coordination with USDA personnel, site security and biosecurity compliance, qualified technicians, on-site supervision, and advance approval of power outages. The anticipated award is a firm-fixed-price purchase order for one award, with a period of performance from September 24, 2026, through March 23, 2027.
