Description
Gwinnett County seeks an independent assessment of its enterprise video surveillance ecosystem for the Department of Information Technology Services. The system includes more than 3,100 cameras, hundreds of recorders and network components, and approximately 100 locations. The assessment must inventory existing hardware and software, validate and update site maps, identify unnecessary, redundant, underutilized, outdated, or missing equipment, evaluate coverage and risk, and recommend replacement, removal, augmentation, or non-technology alternatives. The selected service provider must also evaluate current maintenance and support practices, recommend improvements and refresh strategies, address storage and retention, provide future-state designs and justifications, and develop an implementation plan with year-by-year budgetary estimates. The engagement excludes purchasing or implementing new video surveillance hardware and software. Proposals must include the specified experience, qualifications, service-description, implementation-plan, and reference responses. Addendum 1 requires a completed references sheet with at least three references for successfully completed engineering video assessments of similar size and scope within the past five years, preferably for government agencies or organizations of comparable size and complexity. The addendum must also be acknowledged in the designated space in the bid documents.
