Description
The City of Fort Worth is soliciting construction bids for expansion of the existing Pond D detention facility in the midfield area of Meacham International Airport. The base bid includes storm-drain and concrete ditch-paving demolition, adjustments and extensions to existing dual 24-inch reinforced-concrete pipe, pond excavation and earthwork, grading, seeding, sodding, soil-retention blankets, erosion and sediment controls, a junction-box pond outlet structure, safety end treatments, construction access, and related airport safety and security measures. Additive Alternate 1 includes dual 30-inch reinforced-concrete pipe installed beneath Taxiway H by jack and bore; Additive Alternate 2 includes an additional single 30-inch reinforced-concrete pipe installed by jack and bore. The contract documents state a 60-day period to Final Acceptance. Bidders must submit the required bid, proposal, compliance, prequalification, conflict-of-interest, workers’ compensation, small-business, and bid-bond materials, with a 30% small-business participation goal for contracts of $100,000 or more.
