Description
The City of Fullerton is soliciting sealed bids for construction improvements in the Ash-Woods area. The scope includes traffic control and water pollution control; abandonment and installation of water mains, valves, services, hydrants, and related appurtenances; water-main testing and trench restoration; sewer-main and lateral construction, sewer manholes, house-connection reconnections, sewer bypassing, CCTV inspection, and sewer-trench restoration; and removal or reconstruction of manholes, curb and gutter, cross gutters, sidewalks, spandrels, pavement, and related improvements. The project includes unit-price work for multiple pipe sizes and utility components, as well as mobilization and sheeting, shoring, and bracing. The engineer's estimate is $2,680,000. Bidders must possess a Class A license when submitting the bid, and the work must be completed within 150 working days after the written Notice to Proceed. A 10% bid security is required with the bid; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and labor-and-materials bonds and required insurance. The contractor must self-perform at least 35% of the contract price.
