Description
Bucks County is soliciting bids for chimney repairs, liner system installation, and woodstove work at Cabins 1, 2, 3, and 4 at Tohickon Valley Park. The contractor must provide supervision, labor, equipment, tools, transportation, scaffolding, roofing protection, cleanup, disposal, permitting support, and coordination with park staff. The work includes removing terracotta flue components; reconstructing masonry crowns; installing UL-listed, insulated stainless steel liner systems; installing or reconnecting woodstoves, including Osburn Matrix or equal units; repointing deteriorated mortar at Cabin 4; and bringing hearth extensions into compliance where necessary. Work must comply with NFPA 211, UL 1777, manufacturer specifications, and applicable building codes. Bidders must bid on all four cabins, be Chimney Safety Institute of America certified, and submit product data sheets and a project schedule. The contract includes a $5,000 allowance for approved changes, a minimum one-year workmanship warranty, and manufacturer warranties for installed components.
