Description
The City of Edgewater is soliciting sealed bids from qualified and licensed Florida contractors to replace aging potable water infrastructure in the Silver Ridge service area. The work includes replacing existing 2-inch galvanized water mains along Lee Drive and Denson Drive with approximately 1,090 linear feet of 3-inch DR-11 PE water main installed by open cut and 150 linear feet installed by horizontal directional drilling. The project also includes approximately 180 linear feet of 8-inch DR-11 PE 4710 water main installed by horizontal directional drilling to create a distribution loop between Silver Circle and Glenwood Drive, connections to existing water mains, service connections, gate valves, line stopping, fire hydrant replacement or relocation as needed, testing, disinfection, traffic maintenance, erosion control, and restoration of driveways, pavement, curbs, landscaping, and other disturbed areas. The engineer's estimate is $415,950. Bidders must submit pricing through the Total Pricing Form and complete the required OpenGov vendor questionnaire and supporting documentation. The solicitation requires a 5% bid bond, performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract award amount, applicable licenses and eligibility documentation, references, subcontractor and equipment information, insurance acknowledgments, and other certifications and affidavits. The contractor must commence work within 30 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, achieve substantial completion within 210 consecutive calendar days, and be ready for final payment within 240 consecutive calendar days.
