Description
The City of Austin seeks multiple contractors to perform first-time, routine, on-call, and emergency cleanups of homeless encampments. Work includes site assessment and documentation, dismantling temporary structures, and collecting, removing, and disposing of trash, recyclables, abandoned vehicles, hazardous and medical waste, and other debris. Contractors must provide the labor, equipment, vehicles, personal protective equipment, and trained crews needed for the work, and coordinate each cleanup with the City through project-specific work orders. The contract also includes safe handling and permitted disposal of waste, site cleanup reporting, traffic controls and permits where needed, and spill and damage prevention. Cleanup work is generally performed between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; the City may request onsite security. The contract term is 60 months, and the City anticipates multiple awards.
