Description
The City of Huntsville is soliciting vendors to supply new safety work boots meeting ASTM foot-protection and/or OSHA personal-protection requirements. Boots must generally be full-grain leather, have cushion insoles, and be brown/tan or black; water-resistant leather/rubber combinations are permitted. Vendors may offer multiple brands and models, including catalog, non-catalog, and special-order items, and must complete the provided price chart with MSRP, discounts, and final prices. The estimated quantity has been clarified as approximately 165 boots per year, with a blanket purchase order and a potential annual range of 1 to 165 boots. Vendors without a Huntsville storefront may bid and fulfill orders by shipping compliant products directly to the City Service Center or through an approved local supplier. All alternatives and substitutions will be considered if they meet the solicitation's intended performance requirements. The contract term is October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with four one-year renewal options. Award will be based on best value, and multiple vendors may be selected. The response package must include the completed solicitation documents, pricing information, required forms, evidence of insurability, at least three recent business references, and a signed copy of Addendum No. 1. The addendum confirms that Professional Liability coverage is required and that the bid deadline is October 8, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. Central Standard Time.
