Description
The City of Fort Worth is soliciting proposals for a non-exclusive, as-needed contract to supply safety footwear for City departments. Required products include steel-toe and composite-toe footwear for asphalt, electrical hazard, orthopedic, restaurant, static-dissipative, waterproof, and other work applications, along with compatible socks and insoles. Products must be new, meet specified ANSI, ASTM, and OSHA standards, and include various sizes, extended sizes, and approved equivalent brands where applicable. The vendor must maintain adequate stock, provide fitting and measuring sessions, operate a mobile shoe service with trained personnel and necessary equipment, support deliveries to City facilities, and provide returns, exchanges, receipts, warranties, and product guarantees. The City has historically spent approximately $145,000 annually. Proposals are evaluated on cost, small-business participation, company experience, ability to meet the City's needs, and mobile-service capability. A 30% certified Small Business participation goal applies, with current certification documentation required for firms used to meet the goal.
