Description
Lexington School District Four is soliciting sealed bids from qualified and properly licensed engineering and testing firms for third-party International Building Code Chapters 1 and 17 special inspections, construction materials testing, structural field monitoring, accredited laboratory testing, and stormwater compliance inspections for a new transportation and maintenance building. The scope includes soils and foundation evaluations, concrete and masonry inspection and testing, structural steel and welding inspection, pavement and site-work monitoring, and weekly NPDES erosion-control inspections by a South Carolina-certified CEPSCI inspector. Required qualifications include applicable licenses; ICC, ACI, AWS/AISC, South Carolina Office of State Engineer, and South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation credentials as applicable; an accredited in-house testing laboratory; and the ability to provide electronic reports and prompt notice of nonconforming or low-strength results. Bidders must submit the completed and signed invitation-for-bid form, pricing form, three similar references, applicable licenses, and a certificate of insurance. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with pricing requested for all listed inspection, laboratory, management, equipment, and stormwater services.
