Description
Calhoun County is seeking qualifications from licensed professional surveyors or surveying firms to perform research and remonumentation of an average of 10 to 15 Public Land Survey System corners per contractor. Work must comply with the county’s Monumentation and Remonumentation Plan, Michigan Public Act 345 of 1990, applicable laws, and grant requirements. Selected contractors must present assigned corners at Peer Review Committee meetings, provide relevant private-corner research, complete annual deliverables, and submit itemized invoices identifying each corner and the work performed. Statements of qualifications must include the firm’s history, assigned surveyor resumes, prior Calhoun County and other county remonumentation experience, staffing and schedule capabilities, equipment inventory, permit-compliance commitment, and a certificate of liability insurance. The resulting contract runs from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, with up to two additional one-year extensions by mutual written agreement. Pricing is provided by labor category and equipment type in the 2027 fee schedule.
