Description
The City of Charlottesville, through Charlottesville Area Transit, is soliciting qualifications-based proposals for a term contract covering professional land surveying services for transit-related projects. The City may make multiple awards and may issue individual task orders for planning, design, construction, maintenance, and improvement of transit facilities, infrastructure, stops, rights-of-way, properties, and related projects. Potential services include field and boundary surveys, deed research, ALTA surveys, subdivision plats, topographic and profile surveys, digital terrain modeling, aerial mapping and photogrammetry, right-of-way and easement surveys, construction surveying and layout, utility locating and mapping, ADA-related surveys, as-built surveys, survey control and benchmarks, base mapping, electronic survey deliverables, and coordination with project stakeholders. Proposals must address methodology, surveying methods and technology, quality control, staffing and qualifications, relevant experience, at least four similar references from the past three years, and planned participation by small, women-owned, minority-owned, employment-services, and veteran-owned businesses. The contract is for one year with up to four additional one-year renewals.
