Description
The City of Battle Creek is soliciting bids for construction improvements at the Verona Pumping Station. The work includes removing and disposing of two existing 36-inch check valves and associated piping, furnishing and installing two new 36-inch cushioned check valves, installing 36-inch steel pipe and fittings, maintaining system flow during construction, testing and disinfecting the piping, and restoring the work area. The project also includes Aerolon coating, concrete and piping support work, permits, cleanup, prevailing-wage compliance, and all labor, materials, equipment, incidentals, bonds, and insurance necessary for a complete and operational installation. The bid form identifies GA Industries Series 7125T tilted-disc check valves as the base equipment, with an owner-approved alternate option. The contractor must complete the work by July 30, 2027, and submit a bid bond of at least 5% of the base bid.
