Description
Colon Community School District seeks Internet Access and Data Transmission Services for Colon High School and Colon Elementary School. Each site currently requires a minimum bid of 1 Gbps download and 35 Mbps upload, with a preferred initial service level of 1 Gbps symmetrical service. The district requests laddered pricing for symmetrical service increases in 1 Gbps increments up to 5 Gbps during the contract term, approximately 11 or more public IPv4 addresses, optional IPv6 pricing, and service-provider-owned onsite equipment for the handoff to the district’s head-end equipment, preferably using fiber handoffs. Proposals must describe any installation or special construction, recurring and nonrecurring pricing, proposed handoff, available resiliency, firewall, and DDoS protection features, and a Service Level Agreement. The SLA must address 99.99% network availability, packet loss, latency, jitter, 24x7x365 trouble reporting, two-hour diagnosis, four-hour temporary or permanent repair, chronic-trouble remedies, and monthly and annual service reporting. Responses must include a service description and implementation timeline demonstrating delivery by July 1, 2027; complete pricing; the proposed SLA; three similar-service reference sites with contact information; the provider’s E-Rate SPIN number; and a ready-to-execute or sample contract incorporating the stated E-Rate contingencies. The district may award services for any combination of the listed sites and may select one or multiple vendors. The procurement is contingent on E-Rate funding and excludes equipment or components from companies designated as national security risks under FCC Order 19-121.
