Description
The Town of Penfield is requesting qualifications from firms to provide architectural, engineering, and design services for a new approximately 45,000-square-foot multipurpose recreation center. The facility is planned to include a gymnasium, elevated walking and running track, senior center, fitness and dance studio, meeting rooms, community kitchen and café, gathering areas, offices, storage, outdoor gathering spaces, and connections to surrounding fields and trails. Associated site work includes parking, lighting, utilities, drop-off and pickup areas, loading areas, and exterior seating. The selected consultant may provide general oversight, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding support, and construction administration. Required disciplines and deliverables may include civil, architectural, structural, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, lighting, fire safety, and security design; renderings; specifications; permit and approval applications; bid documents; addenda; pre-bid support; bid-opening assistance; conformed documents; site visits; and submittal/RFI support. Firms must demonstrate at least five years of experience providing construction management services for projects of similar size and scope, including relevant recreation, community facility, municipal, stakeholder coordination, scheduling, and budget-control experience.
