Description
This Request for Information seeks input from potential providers for a planned procurement of residential reentry center (RRC) services and home confinement (HC) services for male and female federal offenders. The anticipated requirement includes up to 30 in-house placements and 15 home confinement placements, with the ability to accept sex offenders in the facility. The agency prefers a single provider for both service areas, and respondents interested in providing both must address both line items. The proposed RRC would be located in one of ten specified Michigan counties. Home confinement services would be provided within 175 miles of the facility, including across state lines. The RFI asks providers to discuss their experience and the feasibility of operating these services in the area, including facility availability, zoning and other legal restrictions, community concerns, transportation, and employment prospects. This is market research only; proposals are not being requested, and responses will not automatically qualify respondents for a future procurement.
