Description
Toronto Community Housing Corporation is soliciting a design-build Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contractor for solar photovoltaic systems at 25 West Lodge Avenue, 51 Parkwoods Drive, and 177 Pendrith Street. The scope includes solar carports at all three locations and a rooftop system at 177 Pendrith Street. Proponents must bid on all locations; each location may be awarded separately, and one proponent may receive multiple awards. The work includes investigations, engineering and structural design, geotechnical studies, surveys, permitting, Toronto Hydro approvals, procurement, installation, electrical construction, lighting beneath the carports, monitoring, commissioning, inspections, closeout documentation, and as-built drawings. Anticipated system sizes are approximately 85 kW DC/85 kW AC at 25 West Lodge Avenue, 90 kW DC/90 kW AC at 51 Parkwoods Drive, and 138.45 kW DC/120 kW AC at 177 Pendrith Street. The solicitation requires completion of pricing forms, qualification and health-and-safety forms, subcontractor lists, constructor-role agreements, rated-criteria submissions, and site-supervisor certifications. The work is expected to begin approximately in January 2027 and end in December 2027, with a stated minimum 20-year system operating lifespan and ongoing warranty-related obligations.
