Description
Cornell University is seeking statements of qualifications from consultants to provide design services for replacing existing HID or temporary greenhouse lighting with energy-efficient, Cornell network-compatible LED fixtures and associated controls at multiple greenhouses on its Ithaca campus. The scope includes hazmat testing, design and air-test monitoring as needed, demolition design with limited fixture salvage, design of the LED lighting and controls installation, bidding-phase services, and construction administration including record documents. The response must address the prime consultant’s qualifications and experience, key staff, technical approach and capability, relevant work for Cornell, colleges, and state agencies, proposed subconsultants, MWBE/SDVOB utilization, and references for similar design and construction-administration projects. Proposals must be PDF files of no more than 25 pages, including the cover sheet and forms, and must follow the specified file-naming convention. No fee proposal is requested at this stage. The solicitation identifies participation goals of 13% MBE, 16% WBE, and 6% SDVOB, and estimates completion by December 31, 2028.
