Description
The Town of Lexington is soliciting sealed bids for construction of a replacement storm drainage system along approximately 500 linear feet of Kwanzan Drive in the Cherry Ridge subdivision. The work includes removal and disposal of existing pavement and drainage structures; installation of storm drainage pipe, catch basins, junction boxes, headwalls, riprap, and related structures; excavation, grading, flowable fill, and traffic control; and coordination of a six-inch water-main relocation by the Town. The contractor must also resurface affected portions of Kwanzan Drive, restore disturbed residential yards with grading and sod or other approved landscaping, maintain access to residences, implement erosion and sediment controls, coordinate utilities, provide required testing and as-built information, and complete the project within the stated 60-calendar-day schedule. A five-percent bid bond or certified check is required, and the successful bidder must provide 100-percent payment and performance security after award.
