Description
The City of Pomona is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide on-call, as-needed rehabilitation and maintenance services for multiple city-owned potable water wells. The scope includes brushing, bailing, airlifting, jetting, video surveys, chemical treatment, redevelopment, pump testing, water-quality monitoring, disinfection, startup, waste removal and disposal, NPDES-compliant discharge management, and related labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals. The work also includes furnishing and installing new well pumps, discharge heads, column and suction piping, shafts, bearings, valves, monitoring equipment, and associated components when required. Bidders must have at least six years of current, continuous well rehabilitation and pump replacement experience under a California C-57 contractor's license and must submit at least five recent comparable project references. The response must include completed pricing sheets and required forms, a copy of the C-57 license, references, bid security, and other specified certifications and attachments. The selected contractor must obtain the applicable City business license, comply with prevailing-wage, DIR, certified-payroll, insurance, bonding, water-quality, and discharge requirements, and may use specialty subcontractors subject to the solicitation's restrictions.
