Description
Grays Harbor County seeks a multidisciplinary consultant to assist with updating and adopting its Critical Areas Ordinance as part of a periodic update. The work includes project management; review of the existing ordinance, goals, policies, development regulations, and codes; coordination with the County’s GIS specialist; and ensuring consistency with the Comprehensive Plan, Shoreline Master Program, County Code, and Washington State Department of Commerce requirements. The County also seeks expertise in land-use planning and zoning, housing policy, demographic and environmental analysis, SEPA documentation, and community engagement and facilitation. The proposal should describe a phased scope of work, tasks and deliverables, public engagement activities, staffing and responsibilities, references, and a project timeline. It must include a phase- and task-based budget and address applicable Department of Commerce deliverables. The anticipated contract is seven months, from December 2026 through June 2027, with possible negotiated extensions. The stated project budget is up to $50,000.
