Description
The Harrisburg Consistory is soliciting bids for exterior ADA improvements at the Scottish Rite Cathedral’s front and rear entrances. The work includes constructing concrete, nonslip ramps with compliant slopes and landings; widening and installing concrete sidewalks; adding tactile warning surfaces; modifying curbs and curb ramps; improving accessible parking signage and striping; and installing commercial-grade handrails and guardrails. An optional bid for handrails and guardrails is requested. The project also includes excavation and grading, erosion and sediment controls, landscaping adjustments, temporary safety barriers and signage, and compliance with applicable ADA, Pennsylvania, Davis-Bacon, and Build America, Buy America requirements. Bidders must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, licenses, transportation, and restoration required for completion. Payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of the project bid and a bid guarantee equal to 10% of the bid price are required. The contractor must submit qualifications and three references, required certifications and affidavits, and insurance documentation; installation is to be completed within 180 calendar days after the notice to proceed.
