Description
The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York is soliciting expressions of interest from qualified construction contractors for facade repair and exterior rehabilitation at the CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice New Building. The scope includes removing and replacing cracked granite panels, repairing spalled and cracked concrete at exterior steps, retrofitting and replacing vertical sunshades, re-attaching roof flashing, and recoating a service entrance door. The estimated construction cost is $6,250,000 to $6,750,000. This is an EOI and qualification process rather than the final construction bid. Respondents must submit a professionally organized package with a cover page, table of contents, tabbed sections, company profile, relevant project experience, three comparable project schedules, safety program, proposed team resumes, potential subcontractors, anticipated workload, experience modification rating documentation, bonding-capacity letter, and the NYS Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire for For-Profit Construction (CCA-2). The project is subject to a Project Labor Agreement; subcontractors at every tier must execute a Letter of Assent. Tabs 1 through 7 will be scored, and qualified firms will be shortlisted for a future bid invitation. The solicitation identifies anticipated workforce and participation goals of 45% minority and women workforce, 18% Minority Business Enterprise, 12% Women's Business Enterprise, and 6% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business, subject to final determination in the bid documents.
