Description
Tarrant County is seeking bids for a 5,000-gallon brine storage tank and slide-in mobile brine distribution systems for road anti-icing and de-icing operations. The requested equipment includes systems for a 2024 Chevrolet 4500 Crew Cab and a 2021 Freightliner M2-112 tandem dump truck, with minimum capacities of 525 gallons and 1,850 gallons, respectively. The tank must integrate with an existing Vari Tech Model SB600 system, safely handle dense salt solutions, and include specified drainage, leak protection, ventilation, and related components. Distribution systems must include gas-engine-powered pumps and spray systems, automatic rate control, flow measurement, multi-lane application, and self-loading storage equipment. The latest production model is required, and field demonstrations may be requested in the Fort Worth/Dallas area at no cost to the county. Bidders must provide detailed product literature and specifications, warranty information, estimated lead times, pricing, and required vendor information. Equipment must comply with applicable federal and Texas safety, health, lighting, noise, and emissions requirements, and the vendor is responsible for palletizing, unloading, and delivery. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder meeting the specifications and the county's best interest. A virtual pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required; vendors who submit without attending waive claims related to undiscovered conditions.
