Description
The Town seeks a contractor to install generators and automatic transfer switches at four locations. The work includes two diesel generator installations and two natural-gas generator installations, along with generator pads, electrical feeders and panels, transfer switches, fuel piping and tank equipment, grounding, controls, and associated site restoration. The specifications identify generator capacities of 30 kW, 40 kW, and 60 kW, with the 30 kW diesel unit serving two locations. The contractor must provide the labor, materials, equipment, permits, testing, commissioning, and training needed for a complete installation. Requirements include applicable electrical and plumbing licenses, an Underwriter's Certificate, New York prevailing-wage compliance, apprenticeship-program documentation when applicable, five years of relevant experience, and proof of authorization to do business in New York. A New York State Department of Labor registration certificate must be submitted with the bid or the bidder must be actively registered at bid opening. The bid requires 5% bid security; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance, payment, and maintenance bonds as applicable. The contract requires completion within 180 calendar days after receipt of the fully executed contract and purchase order.
