Description
Bibliomation, Inc. is soliciting proposals on behalf of its member libraries for internet access and data transmission, including fiber maintenance, at libraries with existing dark fiber infrastructure. The request covers 11 service locations and speeds from 25 Mbps to 1 Gbps. Vendors must identify the service classification and delivery method and disclose all installation charges. Proposals will be evaluated primarily on the cost of eligible services, with additional consideration for compatibility with existing fiber networks, local in-state vendor status, customer service and past performance, and other factors. Vendors must address capabilities such as static IP addressing, bandwidth bursting, connectivity to library and research networks, content filtering, direct connections to content providers, usage-based pricing, local support, and security protections and consulting. The proposal must also include vendor identification and contact information, proof of authorization to do business in Connecticut for the vendor and its subcontractors, and a copy of the proposed contract terms and conditions.
