Description
The Town of Sweetser, Indiana is accepting sealed bids for the Sweetser Wastewater Improvements Project. The project includes mechanical, electrical, and control improvements to the wastewater treatment plant, including the addition of a drum screen, screw press, walkway, ceiling, and solar improvements. It also involves mechanical and electrical controls improvements to four lift stations, decommissioning of one lift station, and installation of three new grinder pits for connection to the existing sewer. The work includes all general construction, mechanical installation, labor, materials, permits, licenses, and insurance. Bids must be submitted on the provided bid forms and include a certified check or bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount. Performance and payment bonds of 100% of the contract price will be required at contract execution. The project is funded in part by a HUD grant and is subject to federal requirements including Build America, Buy America provisions, prevailing wage rates, and affirmative action requirements. The Town encourages minority, women-owned, and veteran-owned business participation.
