The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting microbiology media and testing kits used to select and identify Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus (VRE). Required products include MRSA Select II, 20 per package, or an equivalent, and VRE Select Kit, 20-test, or an equivalent. Estimated quantities are 440 kits of MRSA media and 6 packages of VRE kits per contract year, with monthly ordering and delivery upon request. The purchase order includes a base year and four option years, covering November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2031. The vendor must deliver fully capable, test-worthy products, maintain the submitted pricing schedule, provide SDS sheets upon request, and submit a one-page explanation of how it will meet the stated requirements.
