Description
BC Timber Sales seeks a contractor to plant an estimated 1,139,138 seedlings across approximately 36 blocks. The work includes raw planting, fill planting, and replanting, with species, stock types, quantities, planting densities, and block-specific requirements detailed in the schedules and stock allocation. The Province supplies the seedlings; the contractor is responsible for their care, handling, transportation from the designated storage location, planting, and associated equipment and labor. The contractor must meet the mandatory SAFE Company certification eligibility requirement and provide qualified supervision, quality control, safety and environmental management, and required work records. A mandatory bid security of $5,000 applies to tenders below $250,000 and $10,000 to tenders of $250,000 or more; an eligible continuous bid deposit may be used instead. The contract term is April 1, 2027, through March 31, 2028, and all trees must be planted by June 21, 2027. The BCTS Planting Contractor Rating System applies to evaluation, but participation is not required to bid.
