Description
The Town of Stratford seeks a certified Mercury Marine dealer to remove three existing Verado 300HP outboards and install three new Mercury SeaPro 300 V8 DTS outboards, along with specified engine controls, harnesses, electro-hydraulic steering, a multifunction display, propellers, and related components. The contractor must rig and commission the engines, complete the manufacturer’s pre-delivery inspection, register the engines for warranty, launch and sea-trial the vessel, and confirm propeller selection and engine performance. All equipment and parts must be new and current-manufacture; the work includes a three-year warranty, and the bidder must provide optional trade-in pricing for the removed engines. Bidders must be certified Mercury dealers/installers, have at least five years of marine-industry experience, and provide qualified service personnel. The contractor must provide year-round emergency service, including a one-hour call-out response, and its workshop must be within 30 minutes’ travel time of the Town. Subcontracting requires prior written Town approval. The proposal must include pricing, comparable-project references, subcontractor details if applicable, and any exceptions to the specifications.
