Description
NASA plans to relocate three SSERVI regolith simulant testbeds from Building 503 to Buildings 267A and 267 at NASA Ames Research Center. The work includes constructing replacement frames for the Highlands and Lowlands testbeds, emptying and moving their regolith simulants, and moving the Deep Testbed frame and its bagged simulant to a welding shed. The contractor must package and transport the materials safely, coordinate the route with SSERVI and NASA Ames Protective Services, and prepare a site-specific safety plan and other required submittals for Government review before work begins. This is a special notice seeking capability statements, not quotes. NASA states its intent to award the relocation work sole source to McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.; submitted capability statements will be considered only to determine whether the procurement should be competed.
