Description
The University of Georgia is seeking competitive quotations for the purchase, delivery, and initial on-site installation of trash and recycling compactors in various sizes. The solicitation covers stationary compactors, self-contained compactors, charge boxes, receiver boxes, hoists, doghouses, hoppers, chutes, doors, and other approved add-ons. Equipment must meet specified minimum steel-thickness requirements, or an approved equal, and vendors must identify the offered brand, model or series, specifications, and functional capabilities. The immediate need includes two 35-cubic-yard self-contained compactors for the School of Medicine—one for trash and one for cardboard—with potential additional purchases for dining facilities and other campus locations. The resulting agency contract will support purchases on an as-needed basis, with anticipated orders of two to six containers over the year. Responses must include a detailed quotation with unit pricing, per-truckload freight, installation costs, warranty information, and estimated lead times. The contract is initially for one year, with up to four additional one-year renewals at the University's discretion; hauling and disposal services are not included.
