Description
The City of Ames is accepting bids from qualified vendors to rent or lease one or two wheel loaders for its Fleet Services Department. The equipment will support seasonal snow and ice removal, including blowing, plowing, and loading, and must be compatible with existing attachments through a JRB 416-compatible quick-attach system. The requested equipment includes a 3- to 4-cubic-yard bucket and two hydraulic circuits for multifunction attachments. Wheel Loader 1568L is required for five months from November 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027. Wheel Loader 1569L is required for four months from December 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, with an optional one-month extension. New, used, or demonstration machines no more than five years old may be offered. Vendors must provide pricing, specifications, photographs, transport charges, fuel and DEF refill charges, and maintenance and replacement information. Responses must be submitted by the deadline; late responses will not be reviewed, bids must remain open for at least 60 days after closing, and the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
