Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Division of Highways District 8, is soliciting bids for an ID/IQ master agreement covering hourly rental of heavy construction and maintenance equipment, generally with operators. Equipment includes tracked and wheeled excavators, long-reach excavators, dump and articulated trucks, crawler tractors, light plants, tracked skid steers, cold planers, road wideners, vibratory rollers, milling machines, wheel loaders, motor graders, escort trucks, tree trimmers, hydraulic breakers, rippers, mowing and mulching attachments, a 55-ton truck-mounted hydraulic crane, and a self-propelled road widener. The scope also includes traffic flaggers and associated traffic-control equipment. Equipment must meet the stated minimum horsepower, capacity, dimensions, operating-weight, attachment, and performance specifications for each line item. Vendors must identify the manufacturer and model for each item and provide supporting specifications or product literature when requested. Equipment must be in excellent working condition, include required maintenance, fuel, and lubrication, and be furnished with an operator except for light plants. The contractor must provide equipment when ordered, support routine and emergency work, and may use subcontractors while self-performing at least 30% of the cumulative contract value. The initial term runs from December 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027, with four additional one-year renewal options.
