Description
The City of Lynchburg is soliciting bids for renovation of HVAC systems at the Community Market and Armory. The work includes replacing Market air-handling units; providing a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system for Market vendor spaces; installing an air-handling unit and fabric duct system for the Armory Gym; replacing the steam heating system with a hydronic heating system; and providing direct digital controls. The four vertical cabinet VRF indoor units will not be available until 2027. If pricing is unavailable by the bid due date, bidders must include pricing for horizontal fan-coil units of the same capacity, with the contract adjusted as needed when actual pricing becomes available. The project is a construction effort requiring associated equipment, materials, installation, and controls work.
