Description
The project involves structural, mechanical, and electrical rehabilitation of an existing precast concrete submersible wastewater pumping station. Work includes constructing an 8-foot-diameter off-line manhole for bypass pumping; furnishing and operating temporary electric and diesel bypass pumps; installing low-pressure sanitary sewer connections, isolation valves, force-main connections, piping, valves, and fittings; installing owner-provided pump station structures and pumps; providing an odor-control system; and installing electrical power, controls, alarms, and related equipment. The contractor must maintain pump station operations during construction, complete the work in two phases, coordinate delivery and installation of owner-provided equipment, provide temporary facilities and site restoration, and submit qualifications for the temporary pump-system vendor. The bid package requires a 10% bid bond and includes qualification, non-collusion, public-works employment verification, lobbying disclosure, subcontractor/manufacturer, pricing, and other bid forms. Addendum No. 1 revises drawing sheets 105 and 200; bidders must acknowledge receipt in the Bid Form.
