Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is soliciting a contractor to provide recurring sludge-removal and sewer-line obstruction-removal services for Clarks Summit State Hospital. The work includes pumping and cleaning digesters, grease traps, tanks, drains, lift stations, storm drains, and clarifiers; removing sludge, grease, roots, rocks, wastewater, and other debris; hydro-jetting and mechanical root cutting; vacuum services; and disposal at a certified Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection site in accordance with applicable regulations. The contractor must also provide CCTV sewer inspections when requested, deliver electronic copies of inspection videos within five business days, respond to emergency requests 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and arrive on site within two hours of notification. Services are scheduled through facility personnel, and the contractor must restore disturbed areas and repair contractor-caused damage. A mandatory site visit is required before bidding. The initial service term is two years from purchase-order issuance, with up to three additional one-year renewals and a possible three-month extension. Award will be based on the lowest responsible and responsive bid.
