Description
The University of Washington seeks a contractor to evaluate, design, permit, fabricate, and install a new addressable fire alarm and notification system to bring an existing medical office building into current code compliance. The work includes a new fire alarm control panel, speakers and strobes, detectors, modules, pull stations, wiring, programming, commissioning, testing, updated as-built drawings, and removal of the existing system after the new system is operational. The installation is to be phased while clinics remain open, with work scheduled outside clinic business hours; the existing fire alarm system must remain operational during installation. A full-time superintendent with experience in occupied medical facilities is required, and the proposal must include three recent comparable project examples and a separate resume for the proposed superintendent.
