Description
The City of La Habra is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to provide on-call geotechnical investigation and material testing services for public works projects. Anticipated work includes testing and documentation associated with asphalt concrete, Portland cement concrete, aggregate base, streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, pipelines, slope stability issues, and other project-specific needs. Services must follow accepted public works testing practices and the City's Quality Assurance Program, with qualified and currently certified testing personnel under the responsible engineering management of a California-registered professional engineer experienced in geotechnical engineering and construction-material inspection and testing. The selected consultant will provide project-specific investigations, sampling, laboratory and field testing, observations, records, reports, photographs, samples, and final test-result documentation. The agreement is for as-needed services over a three-year term, with two optional one-year extensions. The anticipated contract value is not to exceed $75,000 per year. Proposers must submit technical qualifications, related experience and references, staffing and organization information, a work plan and schedule, a separate sealed fee proposal, and the required conflict-of-interest and insurance-requirement forms.
