Description
The City of Charlotte is soliciting bids for installation of six new dual-port, 80-amp Level II EV chargers, including all required power-distribution equipment. The contractor must also design provisions for six future Level II chargers, including space for a future panel, conduit runs to future charger locations, and capped watertight terminations. The scope also includes installation of one 200 kW DC fast charger and the electrical service and equipment required to supply it. The chargers are owner-provided and contractor-installed; existing equipment is to remain. The estimated project cost is $450,000 to $600,000. The project requires a North Carolina-licensed contractor, a 5% bid security for bids of $300,000 or more, and compliance with the Charlotte Business INClusion Program's 2% SBE subcontracting goal. Restricted project data requires execution of the City's Confidentiality Agreement before access to the bidding documents.
