Description
Douglas County seeks a contractor to tow non-county vehicles and equipment involved in accidents or violations. The contractor must dispatch promptly, maintain a fleet of at least six properly equipped tow trucks—including heavy-duty and rotator capability—and be able to tow passenger vehicles, trucks, motorcycles, boats, trailers, campers, and construction or agricultural equipment. Drivers must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the contractor must remove accident-scene debris and address fluid spills as specified. The contractor must also provide proof of on-hook insurance with at least $100,000 in coverage and submit a list of vehicles to be used on the contract. The agreement term is three years, with two additional one-year extensions at the County’s discretion. Bidders must submit prices for every listed bid line item. The County will use an electronic bidding system for submissions.
