Description
The City of Omaha seeks an experienced shared-micromobility operator for an exclusive shared electric scooter program. The selected vendor will propose and operate a fleet of up to 750 scooters initially, with potential expansion to 1,000, and provide deployment planning, fleet balancing, maintenance, charging, customer service, safety and rider education, community outreach, and coordination with transit and bikeshare. The program requires geofencing, parking compliance, accessible and equitable service, and monthly operational, maintenance, trip, and revenue reporting, including specified data feeds and survey results. Proposals must address the vendor’s company and operating history, scooter models and safety features, deployment and operations plans, data governance and security, equity and economic opportunity, innovation, and fees. A bid security of $50 is required, with a copy uploaded with the proposal and the original delivered within seven calendar days after the deadline. The contract has a two-year base term and up to three one-year extensions; the solicitation also requires proof of insurance and several completed forms and supporting documents.
