Description
The City seeks multiple contractors to provide emergency, as-needed snow-pile removal and hauling, vehicle towing, and related labor and equipment during the 2026–2027 cold-weather season. Work is triggered by weather events and directed by the City’s Department of Public Works. Bidders must quote firm hourly rates for equipment and operators, standby time, and mileage, and list the equipment they will provide. The scope also includes posting City-provided no-parking signs and shoveling snow at bus stops. Towing covers vehicles up to 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight and requires City of Yonkers towing credentials; relocated vehicles must be placed within 500 feet of their original location. Contractors must respond within one hour of notification. Subcontracting is permitted up to 49% of contract cost, subject to the solicitation’s terms.
