Description
The Town of Clayton is soliciting proposals for work during fiscal year 2027 across three categories: miscellaneous hourly construction at Town facilities, service-provider work, and material supplying. Construction categories include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and painting. Service categories include pest control; lift-station and sewage-treatment-plant maintenance and inspection; septic-tank pumping and hauling; marine transportation between Clayton and Grindstone Island; marine dredging and related work; welding and minor fabrication; cleaning at Town facilities; and mowing at two cemeteries and a schoolhouse on Grindstone Island. Material suppliers are requested to provide roadway traction material, 3/4-inch-minus processed gravel, 2-inch-minus processed gravel, and unprocessed bank-run gravel. Proposers must use the official proposal forms, submit the proposal in duplicate, include the signed Non-Collusive Proposal Certificate, and provide an authorized signature; corporate proposers must also submit the Authorization to Bid. Insurance requirements apply to successful bidders, including general liability and property-damage coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, with specified additional-insured endorsements. The Town guarantees no minimum or maximum purchases or contracts, and may award separate categories to different contractors or service providers.
