Description
The City of Hartsville is soliciting sealed bids for one new, unused, current-model commercial front-loader refuse truck, fully equipped and ready for immediate operation. The truck must include a heavy-duty refuse chassis with a minimum 66,000-pound GVWR, diesel engine, automatic transmission, approximately 40-cubic-yard refuse body, dual hydraulic lift arms, required hydraulic and safety equipment, and a minimum 360-degree color camera system with a 9-inch or larger in-cab monitor. Delivery is required within 365 days of purchase order issuance unless otherwise approved in writing. The refuse body must use specified AR450 abrasion-resistant plate steel in the body, hopper, packer, and tailgate wear areas, with manufacturer cut sheets and material certifications or an equivalent manufacturer statement when requested before final acceptance. The successful bidder must provide operator and maintenance training, service and parts manuals, electronic manuals, applicable diagnostic software, warranty information, delivery documentation, and a functional demonstration. The bid package must include the completed Bid Form, complete specifications, manufacturer literature, body drawings, chassis specifications, warranty documentation, delivery schedule, exceptions, AR450 material schedules and cut sheets, camera-system cut sheet, and references for at least five municipalities currently operating similar equipment. The City may give preference to vendors offering an authorized service center within 100 miles of Hartsville, mobile field service, 24-hour parts availability, and emergency repair service.
