Description
The City of Yuma is soliciting construction services for improvements along 18th Street and Riley Avenue. The scope includes pavement replacement; curb and gutter improvements; sidewalk and sidewalk-ramp construction; driveway entrances with curb returns; a concrete spillway; and a scupper. Bid alternates cover additional pavement improvements along the southern portion of 18th Street. Addendum 1 deletes construction staking and layout from the bid table because that work will be performed and paid for by Dahl, Robins & Associates and the City; Addendum 2 clarifies that construction survey, staking, and layout identified in Addendum 1 will be paid by the developer, not the City. This is a federally funded Community Development Block Grant project subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing-wage requirements, federal labor standards, and related civil-rights, affirmative-action, anti-lobbying, and labor-compliance certifications. The selected contractor must complete the work within 45 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed for substantial completion and within 60 calendar days for final completion. A bid bond of at least 10% of the bid is required, and the successful contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and specified insurance after award.
