Description
The City of Batavia is soliciting bids for one 138 kV-to-34.5 kV, three-phase power transformer with 45/60/75 MVA ratings, on-load tap changing, buried delta tertiary winding, specified cooling, bushings, current transformers, monitoring and control equipment, accessories, spare parts, and a five-year equipment warranty. The specifications identify Delta Star, SPX Transformer Solutions, WEG Transformer, or an approved equivalent, and require detailed equipment data, drawings, loss guarantees, and schedule information with the bid. The successful supplier must deliver the transformer to the northeast substation off Hubbard Avenue in Batavia, unload and set it on the owner's foundation, assemble it, perform field testing and checkout, and provide factory testing and certified test reports. Delivery is required 30 months after the contract times commence. The bid requires completed contract documents, bid proposal materials, addenda, a 5% bid guarantee, an Illinois Department of Transportation Certificate of Eligibility when applicable, an IDOT Affidavit of Availability, written confirmation of the ability to commence work, qualifications documentation, references, company information, and listed equipment and supplier information. A performance bond, letter of credit, or cash performance security equal to 110% of the contract amount and insurance certificates are required after award.
